Join Jeana Kimball and Linda Gabrielse for a fun-filled weekend of stitching Jeana’s new Christmas quilt, An Old Fashioned Christmas. In addition there will be a surprise Christmas project and a trunk showing of Jeana’s quilts (a rare treat) on Friday evening.
We will begin our Retreat on Thursday evening, July 10th, at 7:00 p.m. with a opening reception and an easy wool project to warm up your fingers in anticipation of a full weekend of applique.
Classes on Friday and Saturday (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) will focus on Jeana’s new applique and pieced quilt that features a collage of scenes and motifs reminiscent of Christmas past.
Along with classes, projects and the special lecture, the Retreat includes lodging, an opening reception, all meals on Friday and Saturday (along with yummy snacks), and a nice breakfast on Sunday morning.
A special treat of Amish dinners, prepared by Sarah Borkholder, on both Friday and Saturday nights are a part of this great retreat. It will be like Thanksgiving and Christmas all in one weekend!
The recently built Country Inn and Suites in Grand Rapids, a completely smoke-free facility, is our location. An indoor pool and jacuzzi are included.
Early registration cost for the retreat is $375 per person for double occupancy. After March 31, 2008, the cost of double occupancy is $395. There are also a limited number of rooms available for those wishing to have a room to themselves for an additional $150.
There is a non-refundable registration fee of $50 if you cancel before June 10, 2008. There will be no refunds after June 10, 2008 unless you find your own replacement.
